I am preparing complex document with both comments and attachements to send to three different Adobe Reader groups. I need one group of Adobe Readers to view everything. Group #2, I want to send without attachments, and Group #3, I want to send without comments and attachments. Can I do this with saving three copies and sleectively deleting comments and/or attachments. Can I password protect access to comments and/or attachments, as well? thanx.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.1, Windows

You could save three different files and selectively remove the comments and/or attachments for each file as appropriate. Since you don't have the PDF Optimizer (part of Acrobat 9 Pro.), you'll need to remove this content manually. The easiest method is to open the Comment Navigation Pane and Attachment pane to delete multiple objects at the same time.

Password protection will disallow others from changing/modifying your comments but it doesn't prevent access control to the comments. Some content management systems provide this capability when used in conjunction with Acrobat.

Sorry for the confusion (your initial post lists Standard), PDF Optimizer can delete Annotations and Attachments in one step. For more detail look under the "Discard Objects" and "Discard User Data" area in the Optimizer.
