typewriter tool

I can't find the typewriter tool on the 8.0 professional version. Did I miss a step? THe curser will blink but not words type when I try to fill out a pdf form.

Click Tools, Typerwriter, Enable typerwriter tool in Adobe Reader.

Check the security settings of the PDF form to make sure it is not set to prevent the use of the typerwriter tool.
