"unexpectedly quit" while posting for shared review

I'm posting a file for shared review to an iDisk public folder. The file saves half way then Acrobat unexpectedly quits. The same process works other times, but more often than not the program crashes. Any suggestions as to what could be causing it?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0999999999999996447286321199499070644378662109375, Macintosh

Hi chasnix,

Can you provide more background on your configuration: Operating System, version of Acrobat. Just to confirm this is a shared review not browser, correct?
Are you accessing the network folder over a Local Area Network? Does the network folder have full read/write staus? What does the "Check Sever Status" button in the Review Tracker indicate when you're having this issue?

Keep us posted,
Lori

I'm encountering the same issue. I'm on Acrobat 8.1.2 Professional, connecting to a secure webDAV server.
I've tried deleting my keychains, and once in awhile the issue won't happen on my first re-try without keychains, but I can't seem to isolate a pattern.

The server can see me login, and doesn't appear to show any issues. The crash seems to happen as it's saving the shared review.

I am having the same exact problem with the application. It crashes during the upload of the pdf for review or during the sending invites.
I'm on a mac running 10.4.11
Acrobat 8.1.2
We have created a WebDav Server using Apache on a G5.
Sometimes I can send 4 or 5 files for review with no problem. Other times the application unexpectically quits.

Does this only happen during the upload stage? What OS is your WebDAV Server running?

I was a beta tester for Acrobat 9, and this issue never happened with that version.

I just had to go back to Acrobat 8 and ran into the same issue again.
I am purchasing Acrobat 9 now in the hopes that my version 8 had some sort of glitch.

It happens in the upload stage and at times when it gets to the email reviewers stage.
Server is running on a G5 running OS X 10.4.11

Can you provide the specifics of your environment (i..e, reader/acrobat version, OS, server type)?

I have an issue that is similar. I'm hoping this is not a "snow leopard problem" (Mac OSX 10.6.4).

I cannot communicate at all with acrobat.com using reader 9.3.3 or acrobat pro 9.2.0, besides signing in. I was able to upload a single file using send for shared review. Since then I've not been able to communicate changes with acrobat.com.

Particularly, anything related to "track review" completely fails. When I try to check or publish comments, review tracker just sits and spins. When I choose "track review" acrobat completely crashes with the messages following my message.

I tried a fixIt script I found in another related post but this did not work.

It would be really nice if this worked.

I tried to post the full error message that the system returns but the board was complaining about me trying to use html. I dont have the time to figure out the syntax for turning that off, so if you want to see it you'll have to instruct me...

Have you tried running the Repair Acrobat Command to see if it corrects the issue?

I followed the repair instructions. But it detected nothing wrong. Not surprising since I just reinstalled it. So the problem persists.
