Acrobat Application Error - DWWIN

Hello,

I have Acrobat Pro 7.0 on Windows XP; and often encounter the application error message (describe below) at shutdown, but have not found any discussion on this topic. I would appreciate any advise or explanation.

(a) The error occurs only when I shutdown my computer (about 20% of the times).
(b) The error could occur even if no Acrobat application is running (this makes me think it's from some Acrobat add-in on other MS applications, but could not pinpoint it).

Below is the sequence of error messages when Windows is shutdown.

End Program - Adobe Acrobat
The system cannot end this program because it is waiting for a response from you.

DWWIN.EXE DLL Initialization failed
The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down.

Adobe Acrobat: Acrobat.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x5ad71531" referenced memory at "0x00000014." The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.

Thank you much for your help.

I believe it is a part of the Dr Watson program.

If you Google the error "DWWIN.EXE DLL Initialization failed" you will find a possible solution.

Here is a wiki link about Dr Watson. (do a copy and paste)

Thank you much for your suggestion. I tried one remedy suggested below

Acrobat Menu >> Edit >> Internet >> Uncheck "Display PDF in browser"in the link you provided; and in the last couple days have not encountered this error. But this error happened to me only about 20% to 25% of the times so it will take some period of monitoring to see if the remedy does have an effect. Thank you again.
