Hi!
I am installing Acrobat Reader 9 Standard on a Dell with windows XP Pro. No problem with the installation.
When I start the program (Reader or Distiller), the program work for 3-10 secs and freeze the computer. I cannot use task manager to kill the process. I need to reset the computer.
I have tried to install the patch, with the same result at the end. I have de-installer and re-installer under the admin account with the same result.
I have now installed the software on my laptop and I can see that when I start the program, an activation windows pop-up. Could it be the activation program the problem?
