adobe reader 8.1

I installed the update of adobe reader to the 8.1 and now my scanner is not working right. what is wrong?

That question has so many variables (OS SCANNER etc), it would take hours to figure out. I have never seen it happen on any clients computers. Reader 8 does not interface with the TWAIN Driver, I can not figure out why this happened.
