Hey all, this is my first post and I'm needing some help.
My business sells and finances cars in Texas. Texas has implemented an internet vehicle registration system so that vehicles recently sold are instantly linked to the buyer instead of having to wait for the vehicle to be registered by the state, which can often take weeks. You access the Texas Department of Transportation's website, log in, and enter the customer's information. When you generate the tag, adobe reader will pop up and from there you can print the "e-Tag."
This worked for several months, but now whenever we try to generate a tag, Adobe Reader opens for just a couple of seconds and then closes. I have disabled all pop up blockers, and still can't get AR to keep the pdf open.
In firefox, Adobe Reader will still stay open. The problem with Firefox is that it is difficult to enter all of the customer's information because the website is not compatible with Mozilla yet.
Any suggestions? The computer we have designated to create and print these e-tags has Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8, and Adobe Reader 9.1
Thanks in advance,
Chris
My first suggestion is to update to Reader 9.2, which supports IE8. The update is a full installer.
Let us know if this corrects the problem.
