I am getting the above message whenever I try to download/open a pdf file from the internet. It started suddenly; it had been working fine before. I am on a Mac Pro using OS 10.5.8 and Adobe Reader 9.3.0. I downloaded the latest Reader and I also changed a preference several times after making sure "Display PDF in browser using..." was checked. I have Acrobat Pro 8.0 and Reader 9.2, 9.0 and 9.3. I tried all of them. Does anyone happen to know why my Reader thinks it's printing something? There's nothing in the cue. Maybe I need to clear it but I don't know how.

Have you tried Repairing your Reader installation to see if it corrects the problem?
