When I install Reader X from the Adobe website, the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Setup Files\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AA0000000001} folder is empty, when I would normally expect to find the required files for use with the Adobe Customization Wizard; does anyone have any idea how I can get these files?

Be very careful. In your post are you talking about the Acrobat or Reader product.
Reader has very few install options. And is free and can not create any files. Many OEM systems come with the free Reader installed.
Acrobat has a customizable installer. Acrobat is a paid for product that can create PDFs. Most systems do not come with Acrobat installed. The Acrobat product has a Standard version, Professional version, and the Acrobat Suite. The Standard version can create PDFs using Acrobat, can comment, add special rights to forms and comments, and create PDFs from MS Office applications. The Professional version adds LiveCycle Designer, and batch processing.

I am definitely dealing with the Adobe READER X program and I am using the Adobe Customization Wizard X to customize the installation.
I am not looking to create any PDF files, I simply want to make changes to the installation of the Reader program to do things like prevent automatic updates or to force all PDFs to open in the program and not in Internet Explorer.
While I have been able to do this using the MUI installer, that installer uses well over 400MB of disk space. I have seen that the installer for the non-MUI version of Reader X uses about 110MB of disk space, but that installer does not have any files in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Setup Files\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AA0000000001} folder which it creates as part of the installation. That location would normally be where we could find the setup.msi and acroread.msi files, as well as setup.ini etc, which are needed when using the Adobe Customization Wizard.

Hi MattyG79, I am having the exact same issue. I want to create a custom Adobe Reader X installation, but am unable to locate the setup.ini file. Have you had any results with this post, as it would be most appreciated.
Any help gratefully received.
