Using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, running LiveCycle Designer 8.2.1.3144. Product was functioning properly for a about 3 weeks. Had some minor issues with install, but seemed to solve the problems with Adobe Tech Support assistance. All of a sudden, I receive the following error message as I try to start Designer 8.2:
AppName: formdesigner.exe; AppVer:8.2.1.3144; ModName: formdeisgner.exe; ModVer: 8.2.1.3144; Offset:000a50cb.
I have searched on the user forum for solutions. The closest one I see was posted on 11/27/08 by lkassuba. She made three recommendations: Create new user profile, delete Application Data Folders, and "Microsoft’s mfc80u.dll (version 8.0.50727.1833) installed by SQL Server 2008 causes Designer 8.2.1 to crash on launch. Here is a link to the "Fix for SQL-Server 2008/Designer conflict" with additional information."
I tried all but the one about creating a new user profile because it related to acrobat and not livecycle. Acrobat works fine. None of the recommendations solved the problem.
Before trying the above recommended solutions, I uninstalled, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled the program three times. None of my approaches have solved the problem. I am desparately looking for a solution.
