Error 123 when I open Acrobat 8.1 professional

Every time I try to open acrobat 8.1 professional I am getting this error

"Unable to create the temparay folder. Error 123- the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."

Does anyone know what causing this error? I have been search for fix for this problem for over week. Any help would be apprciated.

You can try re-creating the user profile folder. This is tip number 8 in the following troubleshooting guide:
