Error after installing Acrobat 9 Pro (trial)

I have installed (and re-installed) Acrobat Pro 9.0 trial version several times on an XP machine. The install runs fine but when I open Word 2003 and attempt to create a PDF from a document, I get this message:

PDFMaker cannot locate the Adobe PDF Printer's Print driver. Please re=install Adobe Acrobat 9.0.

Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem and I'm really getting fed up. I bought the full 9 pro extended and I am not able to create a PDF because I get the same error. I've tried re-installing, repair install, downloading the trial, many of the solutions for no PDF printer in version 8, spent hours on the phone with adobe and I even had IT re-image my system today, so I'm starting from a clean slate and it still does not work.

If anyone has actually figured out a fix to this, please post it.

I have received this message too.

I managed to re-image my clients machine, which then worked for approx 3months, and now the message has re-appeared when trying to create PDFs.

I'm at my wit's end now and adobe seem to be no help what-so-ever!

EDIT TO ADD:

Its Acrobat 9 Std edition we have. Running WinXP Pro SP3 on a Dell Optiplex desktop on our corporate domain so users are unable to install software without admin rights.
