I use Adobe Acrobat 8 and Adobe reader 8.1 but one of them is about to drive me to uninstall both. I constantly find that my CPU is consumed 99-100% of its capability running acrobatupdater. I can't open either of the two programs to check them out but I did repair both through the add/remove feature in the control panel. Using win patrol I disabled both programs but the adobeupdater continued as if notheing can bother it. I also looked at the processes running via the task manager and even there when I try to delete the adobe updater it staunchly goes on it's merry way. Is there a solution or do I just throw these two programs away.
PS Speed is of the essence.
Thanks
