Just replaced an infected xp pro sp2 with another but cannot see the document preview in the details pane (in the new computer) when I click on the pdf document. The old computer displays a preview of the document in the details pane on the left side. I have associated the files with pdf but still no image of the doc appears when I click on it. Also, even though I have the document open in pdf when I double click on it, it open in bluebeam when I right click it and select open. I am using acro reader 8. Any suggestions? I have used folder options to associate pdf with acro reader 8. Thanks for any help.

Are you referring to the thumbnail view of the PDF in Windows Explorer? If so, it is possible that the dll (pdfshell.dll) for this functionality was not registered correctly when version 8 was installed. Sometimes running the "Repair Acrobat installation" command under the Help menu can address this.
