Please could someone help me? I have been messing around with my system for absolutely ages trying to install a free trail download of Acrobat 9 Pro, to no avail. I have drawn a blank from Acrobat support and can find nothing on the Adobe web site or on any Google searches! I'm not sure if it's my system or the download... I'm running Vista if that makes any difference.
Having selected the download button and chosen to save the file to Program Files, I get an Akamai download manager error message, which reads: "A problem occurred while accessing your file system. Verify that your file system is accessible and has enough free space."
I also have a download manager window open, on which there is a Resume button - if I press that, I get the same message. I have tried deleting all traces of it (I can't find anything relating to it in my program files), but when I start again from the web site, it says it has tried before and asks if I want to resume it - if I click yes, then Resume, I get the error. If I click no, it tells me there is a shortcut to resume the download on my desktop, which sure enough there is but that send me around in circles too! I have checked my Internet security settings (I'm using Firefox) and tried turning everything off but it doesn't make any difference.
I'm tearing my hair out now, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I may just not be able to see the wood for the trees!
Thank you, in hope, S Mason xx
You could try creating a new admin user account on your machine and see if you can download using that.
