Thygelarsen;

While I've played with ACW 9 a bit, I haven't had the opportunity, yet, to perform the intensive deep dive that might uncover this.

But, some ideas...

ACW 7 would only remove Acrobat/Reader 6 and newer. Versions 5 and older were not touched. This has to do with a change in the installer architecture between 5 & 6 due to improvements in the Microsoft installation system (MSIEXEC).Also, Adobe had this thing called the 'Enterprise Deployment Toolkit' that was used with A/R5. Not a happy tool. We looked at it and decided snapshots would be easier -which they were. Installations based on the EDT were really hard to remove.

ACW 8 should still ununstall 6 & 7, and I would imagine likewise with ACW 9 as it really isn't all that much different than ACW 8.Sidebar - when using the ACW tools (7, 8 or 9) the best way to handle the creation of your build is to perform all your work on a 'clean' workstation. While it may take a bit of work to do your initial setup, a VMWare image is excellent for such tasks. It's snapshot and rollback features are worth their weight in palladium (more than silver, but less than gold).

While not the entire answer, hopefully something to help you along.

Don't hesitate to post if you need some follow-up info.

Thanks

-Doug

I have Acrobat 9 but Secunia software inspector says I also have Acrobat 5 installed. How can I uninstall it? It doesn't appear in the uninstall list and I can't even find it in Program files.
