Acrobat 9.3 patch cannot be directly applied on version 9.1 . Apply the patches in the order 9.1.2, 9.2 and then 9.3.
You can download these patches from "http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/"
or
Simply go for Acrobat Help menu -> Check for updates.

I'm experiencing this exact same issue in Windows 7 32bit. I can install 9.0 with or without a transform, but when I try to patch to 9.10 manually by downloading and executing the appropriate msp I get the same error.

However, if I try to update via "check for updates" it works fine and will patch a system up to Acrobat Pro 9.3.

I use Altiris Deployment Solution to push out Acrobat silently and patch it up to the latest version. I've never had any issues with XP. Are there any know issues with using MSP files on Windows 7?

I have resolved this issue. It appears the patch files are different for the volume license edition of Acrobat than they are for the normal version. I used the updater built in to Acrobat, downloaded all the updates, then saved them off to another location. I can now patch other Acrobat installations manually.

Hi szb,
the patch files are same for both(volume license and normal) Acrobat. However there are different patches for Acrobat on Windows depending upon whether you are using Acrobat Professional/Standard or ProExtended.
here is the link for updates:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=WindowsFor Acrobat 9.1.0 patch
go to the 9.1 heading and then select the appropriate patch.

Thanks
