Acrobat 8 form field layouts

I realize this is a bit remedial, but how do I save the field layout,
the "overlay" of defined form fields if you will, so that if I make a
tweak to the parent file (in Visio in this case), I can just plunk the
field layout back on top to create the updated form.

Or at least what do I search for in the Acrobat 8 help file...?

The easiest way to do this is to use the "Replace Pages" command (Document --> Replace Pages). This will change the underlying page but keep the form fields in place.

Yes, once I understood that I had to import the underlying document as "artwork" I was able to also open the form I'd already built, do a 'select all' on my fields and paste them on the artwork 'page'. A little reposition of the entire group and I was done

Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I no longer dread having to update a form!

Finally I'm two-for-two here at the forum, and in just as many days. Thanks to all!
