If we create a form in Acrobat 8 professional with fillable fields, will the end-user be able to save and e-mail that form in Adobe Reader version 7 and 6? Or does this feature work only in Reader 8?

Hi Kim,

You will need to apply Usage Rights to your form in Acrobat 8 Pro when you create it in order to allow Adobe Reader users to fill and save the data, then email the complete form back to you. Below is a link to an article here at AUC that describes how to use this new feature in Acrobat 8, as well as talks about restrictions on its use.

The new Usage Rights feature will only work in Adobe Reader 7 and above so you would need to get all end users with 6 to update their Adobe Reader to at least version 7.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
