Calculating a value in a field

I want to calculate a value in a field. I can't find anything about math functions in Help and Classroom In A Box says, on page 426, "Select the Text Field tool." How do I do that? I cannot find anything in Help about the Text Field tool.

Hi m2460,

In Acrobat Professional you can find the Text Field Tool under the menu Tools ->Advanced Editing. Choosing it will select all the text field tools on the PDF. This is not available in Acrobat Standard or Adobe Reader.After selecting the text field, if you right click on it and choose Properties a dialog will return that has a Calculate tab- under that tab is where you can set your calculation for the field.
