Calculation totals is not updated until next field input

I have an acrobat 9 form. I have given the user 8 lines to calculate the # of day times the per diem rate to get the total for that particular division. Each line that has an entry is then added to the grand total

If the user doesn't fill in the next line or if its blank, it doesn't update the grand total.

How can I get the grand total to update after each individual per diem rate and day total?

Thanks

You are guessing that the calculation order of the form is like in Excel, it is not. You will need to set the calculation order of the fields in Acrobat. This is especially true when you add a new calculation filed to an existing form. If you used Acrobat's form tools, then edit the form in Acrobat and select the set form calculation order from the edit fields. Or you could run all your calculations in the grand total field.
