I am now in a project of converting documents into PDF filled in enabled forms. Some text fields I have set the font size to Auto. Is it possible to set a maximum point size e.g 12point?

So you want a maximum limit on the size of autosized text? Can't be done. Not even with a script:(

For non-multiline fields, the maximum font size is in effect determined by the size of the field, the height in particular. For multiline fields, what Thom said.

This would a nice thing for Adobe to change. You ought to be able to specify a maximum and/or minimum text size.

Hey George, I agree. It'd sure be nice if there was better control over lots of features. And better ways to get information about what's going on in the form fields. But you know my philosophy. Do what you can and don't hold your breath;)
