I have Acrobat Prof 8 and I have made a pile of fill-able forms that the new Adobe Reader won't let the user save once filled out. What can I do to enable this? I didn't even put security on the form to test it and the user still can't save the data inputted. Some of these forms are huge and need to be saved so they can be filled out in stages, they are rendered useless if the user can't save them.
Thanks!!!
You need to "Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader" from the Advanced menu in Acrobat 8 Pro to make the PDF fillable and savable by Adobe Reader end users. Keep in mind that if you will have more than 500 people fill and save the form you will be breaking the Acrobat license agreement. The Rights Enabling feature is for small to medium use cases ( under 500). If you have more users than that you will need to get the Reader Extension Server product (contact Adobe sales for pricing).
Hope this helps,
