Hi "noob" here sorry I have what are probably easy to answer questions, at least I hope so, concerning date formats and date calculations for fields.

1) When I try and create a Date/Time calculated field it displays this as yyyy/mm/dd then time is there a way to get it to read dd/mmm/yyyy - e.g. 12 August 2010?

2) On the field used above I actually want to insert a date when the form is first opened, so in effect a created date that will not change.

3) Also I need to create a date field that will change when saved i.e. an amended date field

4) Another that puts in the current date when printed

5) Finally, another field that takes the "Printed date" and adds 7 days to it

Thanks.

You can specify the display format. The format string you provided will not work as it is not in the required format as specified in the 'Scripting Reference' included under the 'Help' menu bar option of LiveCycle Designer. Look under the topic 'Date and time patterns'.

There is also a wealth of additional information about using LiveCycle Designer and samples within this document.
