Acrobat 8 pro. Can you make an Pdf file in InDesign with
Smith/Jones on a line
and change this line to
Kasey/Wolf
in Adobe Reader, different PC

Reader is just a reader. No editing of text.

Reader can enter data into form fields but not save the changes.

PDF's with special rights applied to them will allow Reader to save and comment thes special rights enabled forms but still not text editing.
