I have a form posted on the internet to be filled in by users and emailed to a certain person. It does everything I want it to do in Windows XP and Windows Vista. Probably the majority of the users that are going to be filling this thing in.

However it was recently filled in by a Windows 7 user. She clicked on the submit button and nothing happened. I added a "thank you for filling it in" script to see if something would happen and it worked but it didn't open the email program or tried to do anything other then that alert message.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Thanks for anyones help.

Here is a link to the form:

Does the Windows 7 user have Windows Live Mail set as the default email program? If they click on a mailto: link in the browser what happens?

Was she using Reader 9.2 or later? This was the first version to support Windows 7.

Is the following set? Edit > Preferences > Internet> Internet Settings, Programs, Set Program, Set Program Access and Computer Defaults, Custom, Choose a default email program.

I have created a form with Acrobat 9 that contains an email submit button. The button works fine with our network users who use Outlook or Outlook Express, but it is not working when they have Windows Mail set as the default program. How can have Windows Mail be the email program, and not have to set up Outlook for them?
