Form building question

Hello,

I made a template in word 2003 using underscore line ( _____________) then converted it to adobe acrobat v8 pro and "run form field recognition" and the form came up.

This is a repeating form so I wanted the client to be able to type in box Date and all the dates would fill in and Place and all the places would fill in.

So I renamed Date 2 to date, Date 3 to date. etc. I thought if all the property names where the same then all the same names boxes would filled out at once. I know that works when I copy and paste a form box so i figure it would work renaming the property form box but it is not.

Can some tell me why this does not work when renaming the property name?

Thank you very much for your time
Kimberly

Hi kimbly,

You wrote your first text field is "Date" and the others are "date"- it is case sensitive so they need to all be the same either the first letter capitalized or not.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

I found out my problem. It carries over but you have to click the form field area on the next date boxes to get it show on that field. So they can type it in just once but they have to click each other form field to make it show in all the form boxes. Not perfect but it works.

Unless I missing it. Do you know of any way to search and replace form property boxes. I read the help but can't seem to find a way and think I will just have to each one by hand.

Thank you
Kimberly
