Form Creation In Acrobat 8.0

I have a form creation issue:
- if I use the automatic form creation feature in Acrobat I am able to format each field with unique features such as Calculations, etc.
- if I use LiveCycle Designer to build my form I am able to format each field with a different set of unique features such as Date fields with a calendar prompt.

This is fine unless I want a from that combines the best features of both form creation approaches...which is, of course, what I want.

I haven't figured out a way to bridge this divide. Can anyone help?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi kmaloney,

After using Form Field Recognition in Acrobat to create the form fields, save and close the PDF. Then reopen it in LiveCycle Designer, which should recognize the fields created by Acrobat. Then you can set the fields for all the calculations, calendar popups, etc. in LiveCycle Designer.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri

Thank you for getting back to me Dimitri, but I have already tried that solution with no success.

When I try to open my Form Field Recognition form using Live Designer it automatically closes Live Designer and reverts to Acrobat instead.
