Form Data Not Visible Until Selected

I have a PDF Form (created in Acrobat X, I believe) filled out and viewed in Acrobat Pro 9. The form fields are all highlighted, as is normal, but the information in them can't be seen unless the form field is selected. It also isn't showing when printed.
 
Anyone seen this before? Any solutions?

Oh, just wanted to mention that I've tried shift-selecting and control-selecting multiple form fields without success.

The symptoms you describe are typical of a form that has been viewed and saved with the Preview application on a mac. For more information, see: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.php
