Form field editing

I've been running into some problems while creating forms in Designer 7.0. I know that at least once since upgrading from Acrobat Pro 6 to Acrobat Pro 7, I've been able to edit the parameters of the form fields (text fields, radio buttons, et c.) in Acrobat 7 without having to open Designer (which I find frustrating and not very user friendly), but I can't figure out how to do that again.

If I'm remembering incorrectly and I must use Designer to edit form fields, is there a way to make the length of a text field the controlling factor on how many characters can be entered, rather than putting a hard number limit on the amount of characters?

Thanks,
Dan

You cannot edit Designer forms in Acrobat.

You can limit Designer fields to the visible area in Object palette. Click the Field tab and select Limit Length to Visible Area.
