Form field name recognition

How can one see the tool tip in the field box of a form? I don't want just empty boxes on the form. I want the user to see the category name in each field so they can click and type.(Ex The word "address" is defaulted in the box and you type and replace it with your actual address)

It sounds like you mean the field's caption, not the tooltip. The caption is text on the form that identifies the field, like "Address" or "First Name". The tooltip is a popup box that appears when the cursor hovers on a field. It contains a longer description of the field, or other information.

Either way, these features are implemented differently on the different PDF forms technologies, AcroForms and LiveCycle. For example LiveCycle fields have built-in captions, AcroForms do not.
