Form not saving data

I have a form that I created and turned on reader-enabled and posted on our shared drive for everyone in my workgroup to use.

I have one person in my workgroup that when he enters a number in a numeric field the field reverts to zero. He'll then email me the form along with the amount he wants to input and I'm able to input it with no problem and send it back to him.

Doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make me wonder if there is some setting on his computer that causes this to happen.

We're using Adobe 8 Professional. Form created using LiveCycle Designer 8.0. Running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer, Windows

Suggestion:

Since this is only happening to one person, I suggest the user makes sure their version of Adobe Reader is updated.

Prior to that, he/she should run a virus scan, disk clean up, and defrag the hard drive.

No, we're all on the same network. Using the same version of all software.

Issue:
"there is some setting on his computer that causes this to happen".
Suggested solution:
On your computer, open LiveCycle.
Click File > Form Properties > Default tabMake a not of your default and Preview settings.
Make sure the problem computer matches your settings.

Issue:
"We're using Adobe 8 Professional."

This means all members in the work group are running Professional and not Adobe Reader. If they are running Reader, a different approach is necessary.

No, sorry I'm using Adobe 8 Professional and Live Cycle.

Everyone else is using just Adobe Reader 7, but, only one person in the group is having the issue.

Final suggestion:

Have that person uninstall Adobe Reader and do a cold boot (totally turn off the computer and turn it back on)

Run disk cleanup.

Go to the Adobe web site and download the latest version of Adobe Reader and install it.

Check for updates for Adobe Reader

Compare the users Adobe Reader preference settings with someone how has sucessfully used the form and make the setting match.

Hope this helps.

Okay thanks, we're going to install Reader 9.0. I'll let you know if we continue to have an issue. Thanks again.
