Forms and Document Assembly

I want to attach a survey form to the end of outgoing products from my organization. I have tried to assemble a single .pdf with a content file (static .pdf) and the satisfaction form (Designer .pdf), but the form's security settings restrict assembly ("Document Assembly" is Not Allowed under Document Restrictions Summary). Is there a work around, or do I need to redesign the form in Acrobat - not Designer - or am I just out of luck?

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer, Windows

Hi markresnik,

What version of Acrobat are you using? If you have Acrobat 8 Pro you can use the new "Package" feature. A package allows you to assemble not only Acrobat PDFs with XFA PDFs (those from LiveCycle Designer), but also other file formats like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, with packages you can have different security settings on each individual file in the package, something you can not do with the traditional combine files feature.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
