You might want to include some more information. Are you using Acrobat 8 Standard, or something else? What is the form used for and what version of Acrobat or Adobe Reader will your users be using? The more information you provide, the better.

Is this an existing form you're working with, or do you need to create a form from scratch? Have you read Acrobat's Help for information on using digital signatures?

OK. Did you create a digital signature field on the form? If so, what happens when you attempt to sign it? Acrobat 8 Standard can't create form fields, so how did you create the form?

My interactive form won't allow the insertion of digital signatures (pdf graphic format). The field is formatted for signatures, but I can't locate the path that let's you browse to select and import the image. Help!

To newsgal: What Acrobat understands as a digital signature is not an image of a scribble allegedly created by someone, but a "seal" applied using a certificate of some kind (the simplest is the "self-sign" signature, where you create your own certificate, claiming that you are the one who you pretend to be (note this comes from a background where the signature must stand the strictest legal requirements, as for example specified in the legislation in Germany). You can create your self-sign signature, and when you do that, you can specify an image to be used. This image will have a visual value, but the actual signature comes from the certificate.

Hope this can help.

Max.

I am trying add a signature line to document that I can forward to anyone and have them sign it... does anyone know how to make this function work? I used Acrobat standard 9.0 to create the document, but the users will have only Reader 9.0. The field has been created, but the test people who have received cannot sign... please advise Lidia
