Is it possible to insert a picture into a form?

The person filling out the form would insert a picture in a space provided.... all of which could then be distributed.... Or if I can't do this in a PDF form, how else can it be done? What I'd really like to have (but is probably not doable) is a thumbnail of the picture on the form where it expands upon clicking on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Obviously I'm new to this and just trying to help a friend out in his new business. Thanks!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Macintosh

It might be possible, but we'd need more information. Describe how the form will be used, and which version of Acrobat the intended users will have. Does it have to work with Reader? The more details the better.

OK, I'll try to be brief but explanative: the business is oilwell inspection. An inspector would go to a wellsite and check-off the condition of some part of the motor (e.g. good, bad, etc.) and then would add a picture of the part that needed repair or replacement. Then the whole document can be sent off to the client to get their decision.... Does that help you? What else can I say? Thanks, George.

If the inspector has Acrobat Standard or Pro, then this would be possible. The form could be set up with a button that when clicked could prompt the user to select an image file to import into the PDF (using the importIcon JavaScript method). When the file is saved, a user with Reader could then view the image, assuming the file is properly set up. What you described before about clicking a thumbnail image and having it expand to a larger image is possible as well. Since you're new to this, you'll have to learn about the various relevant JavaScript features by getting the Acrobat JavaScript Reference and studying up on everything to do with document icons and button icons. Feel free to ask more questions if you get stuck.

I don't know if this is proper to ask or not, but.... could I pay you (or someone else) to do it and/or to show me how to do it? Problem is that I'm heading overseas later next week and I don't have a lot of time to research or learn about how to use JavaScript. Another way to do this, I suppose, is to create a button that links to somewhere on the web where the picture(s) could be posted. I actually tried doing that: When I previewed it in Acrobat>forms it went to the web site no problem but then when I clicked on the button (using the Preview app in Mac OS) it did nothing. When I waved my cursor over the button the link showed up but when I clicked on it nothing happened. I don't want to spent a lot of money or time on this, so I'm prepared to pay someone (through PayPal) to just give me step-by-sep insuructions...I'm assuming that if I know how do do a small, simple one then all the others would be more or less the same (not so many forms, just 3-4 pages)sanctuary much again
