Keeping the form fillable in Reader

Hello,

I created a form using Adobe Designer and saved them as PDF's. In Acrobat the form is fillable and I can submit by email. To get the forms to email in Reader I had to click Document --> Enable for Commenting and Analysis. Now here is the issue...

I can get the form to email in reader (the original issue) but now it is no longer fillable.

Any comments or solutions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Form fields are not comments.

You need to "Enable Usage Rights in Acrobat Reader" under the "Advanced" menu option.

I am sorry, but I am not seeing that option.
Under advanced I get these options
- Accessibility
- Acrobat Distiller
- Batch Processing
- Catalog
- Digital Editions
- Export All Images
- Javascript
- Links
- Migrate Comments
- PDF Optimizer
- Security Settings
- Trusted Identities
- Web Capture
------------------------------
Use Local Fonts (checked)
------------------------------
Overprint

@ mfreshwater

Since you did mention that you have Acrobat Pro 7, and as Acrobat Pro 7 does not offer a method to Enable Usage Rights in Acrobat Reader - you only option is to upgrade. I would be happy to convert a few forms for you if you do not have the budget to upgrade, or want to simply test if these extended Acrobat Reader rights provide what you imagined or hoped for and simply want to test...

send them to michaelejahn [at] gmail [dot] com - or if they are large, contact me and i will provide FTP details. If you are asking "gee wiz, why me" or "why is this so hard' or thinking 'gee, this totally sucks' - you are not alone in that thinking.
