Hello,

I apologize if this belongs in the LiveCycle Forum
I'm trying to add a link to a pdf form using the link tool in Acrboat pro 8.1. However, when I go to Tools->Advanced Editing the Link tool is greyed out.

How can i add a hyperlink to the pdf.

Thanks!

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9.4 and the HYPERLINK TOOL is greyed out under the ADVANCED TOOLS drop down menu and the displayed toolbar.

I reinstalled Adobe once and the link appeared for one document. 10 minutes a hyperlink just doesn't get it.

LiveCycle Designer does not create true PDF documents but uses Acrobat's/Reader's ability to display an XML form and perform calculations and specified actions within the XML form, but XML forms do not support links.

Your choice is to create a form in Acrobat or use a form field in LiveCycle Designer to perform the link action.

In LiveCycle Designer you can use the "gotoURL".
