Locking Forms

Hi,
I was asked to design a report card for our school district and they would like the fields to be locked after each grading period so that teachers cannot not make changes to grades after a time. They are worried that some people might change grades. Is there a way to lock fields based on a time calendar and leave other fields open until their date hits. I already have the working report card but didn't know if this was even possible to try. The form was created in Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0

Thanks for your help.

There are ways to do this, but if someone turns off JavaScript in their Acrobat/Reader, it won't work anymore. Also, it's usually possible to trick such a script by changing the local time on the machine.

If you think that's a problem, then I would suggest looking for another solution, or spending money on a more robust security system than Acrobat's form scripts.
