Password from Database

Is there a way to have a database with passwords and when submitting one of those passwords to Acrobat, it looks up that passwords which a valid and use it as a password to open the file. If the password is not in the database Acrobat file will not open. Can this be done with any of the versions of Acrobat?

This could be done with a custom Acrobat plug-in, but not with JavaScript.
