On windows platform livecycle you can easily put a date field in the form and have that beautiful menu popup to select the date/month...

but in acrobat pro somehow it doenst wanna work...
or is there a special script to call out that date menu?

There is no built-in calendar popup in Acrobat. Adobe could and SHOULD make it available for use with forms created in Acrobat, but so far they have not.

It would be possible to create your own by programming a custom dialog, but it's a considerable amount of work.
