hi,
I am working on windows application that includes

1.Designing the form in live cycle designer 8.0 with fields from database.

2.after saving the Designed file as pdf its goes into database and user can see this design template and fill.

Now the problem is showing the latest data from database in pdf(like populating combobox).user fill out data should be saved in database.

I tried writing xml to creat data connection (usng DSN)in designer ,

once i save it as pdf and open the template for filling data everything is ok.
once user saves the pdf, connection is lost. next time i cant see master data in combo box.
any solution?

what other adobe products i can use in this application to show pdf data and save??

Please help with the best approach and step,
if possible please send me example.

thanks in advance

Barry

Stefan Cameron has some example of doing this in LiveCycle in the LiveCycle Developer Center at:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/designer_scripting_samples.php

Check out the area on Working with data sources and schemas.
