Good morning,

I have a user trying to complete a form I designed in Professional 7.0 (livecycle). He indicates upon completion of the form, when he hits the email button nothing happens.

It works fine for user with Reader and Professional 7.0 any ideas what might be happening with this user?

It should work with pro 6.1 yes? Actually is there a 6.1 version like he indicates? I see below under product version no such option?

Thanks

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows

I have the same problem. I am hoping that Version 8 Designer has a solution for this.

The problem is that "Reader" users can only submit .fdf data files and when you create submit buttons in Designer it does not give you the option to choose the type of file sent, it only sends .xml files which are not compatible with "Reader" users. Therefore, you have to create your forms manually in "Professional 7" in order to submit .fdf data files. It works, but its more difficult to create forms outside of Designer.

Let's hope 8 Designer has a better answer for this problem.

I think I would have to disagree with what your saying. I have users completing the form, emailing it to me (the xml file attachment) and I'm importing those into my database.

The users problem I was referring to is different, he is an actual Acrobat Pro user (so he tells me), and he cannot get the email button to work.
