regarding pdf form submission

I have created a pdf form with a submit buttton with mailto option. But the form fails to send the attachment. and I have a question that what address it takes as a from address if we mentiona only mailto option. can any one explain me in detail. Do I need to insert a java script. Thanks in advance. and please somebody help me out

If all the parameters are filled out correctly the email submit button will use the system's default email client to send the form data. No JavaScript is necessary. The only parameter that is really necessary is an email address. Somthing like "Joe [at] theCompany [dot] com"
