Hi,
 
I hope you can help me and I thank you in advance for your time.
 
I need to provide a CD distributed text document that allows a user, via a password to fill in fields which are then each inserted to various corresponding fields in a larger document. After it is saved (document complete with filled in fields) user is allowed to print entre document 6 times. User is allowed to do this entire procedure 5 times then the password goes invalid and CD is not accessible.

Moving data from one form to another can be accomplished in a few different ways, with FDF files, direct JS copy, using a VB IAC program, etc. Which method you use depends on the specifics of your workflow. This is outside the scope of this forum, you really need a consultant for this kind of work.

I don't know if you can get the exact protection you want, but check out the "Adobe Document Center".

There is a free trial so you can check it out. With this service you can apply security policies to PDFs that use things like user name and date to enable the document for use.

THANKS for your reply! Yes, I did not know if the forum would be the right place to find an answer but am also looking inot the matter myslef and think I may have a way to do it.
