Tab order set not working.

I am new to Pro 8.0

I was working on a form that I created from a MS word 2002 document (.doc format). I created a .pdf then hit forms/create new form and created a new form from that word file.

I did a "recognize form fields" and added four radio buttons and 12 numeric fields.

Then came the tab order setting. This would not work properly. The tabs would switch from field to field but not in the order i set (from the view/tab order method). I then tried clicking on the tab order button on the tools toolbar. Still didn't work.

What am I doing wrong? I have not made any changes to any defaults. I have no custom settings. I have windows version of pro 8.0, windows xp with sp2. Please help me.

Assuming that your form was created in LiveCycle Designer, I believe you were on the right track by clicking View/Tab Order. Next, try placing your cursor in the first field that you want and then hold down the shift key while clicking in that field to reset the tabs and start with "1". Then click in the following fields that you want in the order you want and the numbers should follow (2, 3, 4, etc.). When you're done, click on Tab Order again to turn the field numbers off.

If you've created your form in Acrobat Pro, I have a similar question because I can't figure out how to set the tabbing order there since there's no 'tab order' option (that I can see) to click on.

Anybody else have any suggestions?
