Tabbing order not working

I have a .pdf created in Acrobat 8.0 Pro.

It has 37 fields. I tried to get the tabbing order set by the Forms/Edit for in Adobe Acrobat/Edit Fields/Set Tab Order function. Also the View/Navigation Panels/Pages/Options/Page Properties/Tab Order was set to "unspecified" so that I could do it myself.

The problem is that when I first press tab in non-edit mode the screen will shift focus downward as if the tab went to the first field. But nothing is highlighted or anything. The screen does nothing special so it appears. After the initial tab the order is fine.

That is why I attempted to set the tab order myself.

When I do try to set the tab order myself I cannot see a one. I do see a "2" and so on.

What is wrong? It seems as though there is an extra field somewhere that I cannot see and that is labeled one.

You can check for hidden content in the Content navigation pane. Under the Options menu of the Conent navigation pane select "Highlight Content" then run the Find command to look for the form field. In this pane the form field will appear as an Annotation.

Highlighting content and using find worked.

there was a little itty bitty field hidden behind a much larger field in there. I had to zoom to a larger magnification to see it.

I guess I might have copied the fields on top somehow.

Thank you.
