I've got a pdf that the scripts need to be fixed. I almost does what I want it to do but not quite.
It has a left side (fields A and B) and a right side (fields C and D).
When the customer fills out A and B, the data gets copied automatically to C and D. (the date filled out are account numbers.) There is an auto tab between A and B.
When the customer leaves A and B blank and fills out C and D, the date doesn't get copied to A and B. But it has to have an auto tab between C and D.
The problem is when the customer leaves A and B blank, he fills out C and the auto tab goes back to B instead of D. That's because I had to have an auto tab from C to B earlier when the customer filled out A, the data got copied to C and the auto tab went back to B.

I may be way off. I'm new to the form making, but I like her suggestion of turning the auto tab off and just leaving the auto fill part on and people can tab over themselves. I personally do not like the auto tab because I already hit tab and then I am 2 fields away instead of the next one I wanted.

Rene,I agree with Ernie. The auto tab makes me a bit bothered on forms. I'm sorry I haven't had time to write the script for you. I do have some links that will help you write it, but I've simply been in class too much the last few weeks to dedicate the time.

I've decided to convince the client that the auto tabs were creating a problem and that in the end they were not that necessary. They'll go with that.

This may seem like a simple fix, but why use Auto Tabs at all? Most users can hit tab themselves or click on the next field.
As a fix, you may have to script the OnFocus or OnBlur using an if/else statement, so that when A is filled out and C is populated, it doesn't go to the next logical field (D), instead it goes back to B.
