Text alignment in text form field

Microsoft Word, when dealing with tables, has a "Cell alignment" where you can choose how you want text in that cell to be aligned (along the x,y axis of the cell).

Does Acrobat have something similar? Is it possible to have text in a text field start at the bottom left of the field, rather than the upper left or to have text in a field (if the text does not take up the entire field) be aligned to the bottom left?

Yes, but the field has to be set up to allow Rich text formatting.

I've done that but I still can't figure out how to change the alignment.

You have to display the Properties bar (Ctrl + E), place the cursor somewhere in the field, click on the "More..." button on the Properties bar, select the Paragraph tab, and then choose the alignment you want.

All right, I did that.

Now the problem I have is that it won't stay aligned that way. If I click in the field, change the alignment, and then tab out again without entering any text it returns to the default state; I'd like it to stay bottom left aligned.

Am I asking to much of Acrobat?

I think you need to update you software, you are maybe using out of date apps and you need new release for new features. That is what I have done when I did a worksheet for cursos de ingles en el extranjero university.
