Text invisible

Hi, at work we send out a pdf form to be filled out and emailed back to us. For those that have Acrobat, other wise they fax it back. In many cases, the text that is entered, we can't see unless we click the 'highlight' button, but when un highlighted, the text goes away. It will not print the added text either. We just can't figure out. We are on XP, Office 2007. We are not that knowledgeable about Acrobat, so help is needed. Thanks so much. Update on the product, it is Acrobat Professional 8.1.3

Or, if you don't hightlight the entire form, and just click on a field, the text will come up, but when you click off into another field, that previous text will go away and only the text that is in the field you are clicking in will be visible.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.1, Windows

Hi animalwatcher,

That's an odd one. Open the PDF and check the property settings on the text fields- what are they? Maybe that will provde a clue to the problem.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Dimitri, Yes, from another post , I did check the text field properties and it seems the background set to none, was the problem. I changed the background to white, and there was the text! So I've changed all the text fields to white background. I am so happy to find a solution! Thanks for taking the time to respond. Hopefully this will help others.

I was looking for a solution to the same problem.
It seems only to be an issue when Mac users submit the form.
I created and open the form on a PC.

I changed the background on the text box to white and can now see the text.
This is not a solution, it is a workaround.
Check boxes do not exhibit the same problem.

Now I need to edit all my forms, change the background to white and resize the box.

I'll continue to search to see if Abode recognizes this as a bug.

Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?

I have created some forms in Acrobat Pro 9 on a mac. I then posted them on my website, had people fill them in and email them to their mentors. The mentor who is having a lot of difficulty is on a PC. They cannot see the text unless they select the actual text box + cannot save it!!

Help??!!
