Unable to distribute signed document

I'm making a standard NDA, in which there are several forms for the client to sign, on my side I use javascript to automatically generate the date, so I basically want to go in, place my signature, and then have adobe distribute the form to my client,

however when I click distribute, I select the "using my email" and it gives me an error stating:

"Acrobat is not able to create a usable responses file from the returned form because the form restricts needed operations."

"Failed to create a responses file at the location: directory/bla/bla"

"Form distribution is aborted."

Any ideas on what is going wrong?

This sounds like a scenario where using distribute forms and having the form signed don't play together because the processing for distribution and return want to modify the form in ways that will invalidate the signature. It may work best to distribute the form unsigned and then sign it when it comes back, or you could try 1) generate with the date, 2) distribute the form but place it in a file, 3) sign the form, then 4)email it. I haven't tried this and am not 100% sure it will work.
